Don't Sit Down

A piece of random silliness, typical of late sixties rock albums, which were permeated by the spirit of freaky random silliness that defined the early Hippies. But in true Bowie self-conscious tradition, the track (whether intentionally or not) becomes a paean for random silliness. It starts out slow, and we think that we are supposed to sit down and pay attention, but then it tells us not to sit down, before breaking off into wild laughter. And then it's over.
